Intumescent Dampers and Seals

Intumescent Dampers
Description: Intumescent Dampers are constructed from a steel frame containing horizontal slats consisting of intumescent material.
Operation: Under the heating conditions of a fire, the horizontal slats expand to a number of times their original size, blocking any gaps against the passage of fire and smoke.
No mechanical linkages or moving parts, making them totally reliable.

  Batwing Seals
Description: Batwing Seals consist of a plastic carrier with integral rubber blades and are designed to prevent leakage of medium and low temperature smoke around fire and smoke doors.
Application: Fitted into the rebate of a door frame by self adhesive backing tape on both sides of the carrier. These seals are designed for every day use in sealing of draughts and cold to medium smoke.

Intumescent Seals
Description: Intumescent Seals are designed to prevent leakage of high, medium and low temperature smoke around fire and smoke doors.

Application: Rebated into edge of timber door or into timber door frame. In normal working temperatures, seals remain stable and inert, under the heating conditions of a fire, the PVC encased intumescent expands to a number of times its original size, blocking any gaps against the passage of fire and smoke. If cold smoke sealing is required, seals with an integral brush can be purchased.
